Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using MapMyCam ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you should not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MapMyCam provides two services:
2.1 Live Camera Streaming Discovery
- Discover and view public live camera streams
- Add their own live camera streams to our map
- Search and filter streams by location and category
- Manage their submitted streams
2.2 Construction Project Documentation
- Create and manage construction projects with Google Drive integration
- Organize projects by building and unit
- Upload photos to your Google Drive in organized folders
- Track project progress with photo documentation
3. User Accounts and Registration
To submit streams, you must create an account using Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Stream Submission Rules
4.1 Required Agreement
Before submitting any stream, you must agree to the following by checking the required checkbox:
- The stream is publicly accessible or you have permission to share it
- The stream content complies with all applicable laws
- You understand that submitted streams become publicly visible
- You take full responsibility for the stream content
4.2 Acceptable Content
Streams must contain appropriate content suitable for all audiences. You may submit:
- Public webcams (city views, traffic, nature, etc.)
- Educational or informational streams
- Event or tourism-related streams
- Weather or environmental monitoring cameras
4.3 Prohibited Content
The following types of streams are strictly prohibited:
- Private or unauthorized surveillance cameras
- Content violating privacy rights
- Adult or sexually explicit content
- Violent or disturbing content
- Content promoting illegal activities
- Copyrighted content without permission
- Streams that violate local laws or regulations
5. Stream Ownership and Responsibility
5.1 Public Nature of Streams
Important: All submitted streams are considered public content. By submitting a stream, you acknowledge that:
- The stream will be publicly accessible to all users
- You have the right to share this content publicly
- The stream is not private or confidential
5.2 User Responsibility
Stream submitters are fully responsible for:
- Ensuring they have permission to share the stream
- Verifying the stream content is appropriate
- Respecting privacy rights of individuals
- Complying with local broadcasting laws
- Any legal consequences of sharing the stream
6. User Rights and Stream Management
As a stream owner, you can:
- Edit your stream information (title, description, category)
- Delete your streams at any time
- View analytics for your streams (when available)
7. Platform Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Review and moderate all submitted content
- Remove streams that violate these terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts for violations
- Delete streams manually from the database if necessary
- Update moderation policies as needed
8. Google Drive Integration (Projects Feature)
Photo Storage: If you use our construction projects feature, all photos are stored in YOUR Google Drive account, not on our servers.
8.1 How It Works
- We create a "MapMyCam" folder in your Drive
- Each project gets its own subfolder
- Photos you upload go directly to your Drive
- We only store metadata (file names, dates) in our database
8.2 Storage Costs
- Photos use YOUR Google Drive storage (15GB free per account)
- We do not charge for photo storage
- If you exceed Google's free limit, you may need Google One subscription
- We are not responsible for Google Drive storage costs
8.3 Your Rights
- You own all photos you upload
- You can revoke MapMyCam's Drive access anytime
- Photos remain in your Drive even if you stop using MapMyCam
- You can access photos directly through Google Drive
9. Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of their submitted content but grant MapMyCam a non-exclusive license to display and distribute the streams through our platform.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
- Accuracy or availability of stream content
- Uninterrupted service operation
- Security of data transmission
- Compatibility with your devices
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service (if any)
- We are not responsible for content provided by users
- Users are solely responsible for their stream submissions
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MapMyCam from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your stream submissions
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Israel. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
14. Age Requirements
Our service is available to users of all ages. However, users under 18 should have parental supervision when submitting content.
15. Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or updates.
16. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
